 Panama Finca Carmen Estate

    Geisha / Washed

Jasmine • Lemon Myrtle • Pomelo

Fica Carmen estate recently won Best of Panama 2023 in Washed category with the highest score in the history of 96.5 points, this Multi - Award winning coffee estate that produces high quality arabica in Volcano Valley, home to Finca Carmen, at an altitude 1,650 - 1,900 meters above sea level is the most important area in coffee plantations cultivated in the mountains and shade of the Barú Volcano region in Panama. The valley follows the course of the Chiriquí Viejo River as it flows from the Cerro Punta mountains to the Pacific Ocean. Its rich volcanic black soil and excellent drainage are ideal for our Arabica coffee variety (Caturra, Catuai & Geisha)

The valley region is strongly influenced by its proximity to the Pacific and the Atlantic Ocean. The cool and frost-free nights of the area are combined with dry and sun-drenched days that, together, create optimal cultivation conditions.

In 1960 Efraín and Carmen Franceschi began to grow these varieties of Arabica coffee on their farms and the tradition has been maintained. Today the third generation of the family is running by Mr. Carlos Aguilera Franceschi.
