Altieri Specialty Coffee is a family-owned business founded in 2005 by Eugene Altieri, an Italian American businessman who moved to Panama in 1973. Almost 2 decades ago, Eugene was offered the opportunity to acquire two farms in Boquete, which he bought without knowing the farm’s potential for growing specialty coffee at the time.
Soon the farms were transformed and replanted with 4 varieties of coffee: geisha, typica, catuai and caturra. Through the years, the farm has earned various awards, especially through the Best of Panama competitions.
Eugene’s children are now following his legacy working together with a strong professional team to expand the Altieri Specialty Coffee brand, always iterating to achieve the highest quality for its customers.
Farm Information
